Greetings Activist and Benton Harbor Sojourners and Freedom Riders.. It is time for our 2nd annual Benton Harbor Protest. We won't have the governor to heckle this year but we will have a bunch of elitist 1% ers who are playing golf on land stolen from Jean Klock Park and the citizens of Benton Harbor. In return for the stolen land Whirlpool has given the city 7 parcels of land of which 6 are listed by the EPA as Brownfield Zones contaminated with industrial waste from former Whirlpool manufacturing activities. What a deal !!!!! We have reserved a 46 passenger bus for May 26th and we need to completely Occupy that bus and show our solidarity with the people of Benton Harbor. The cost of a seat will be $35 and we will leave TC at 6:00 AM sharp from the Meijers parking lot at the North end of the store near the car wash.

Seat sponsors, riders and those who would like to occupy a sponsored seat please email me or call me with your reservation at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 231-946-3083 or 231-632-2243. I would appreciate hearing from you even if you cannot attend just so we are not left wondering who is or is not attending. Please respond by Friday May 18th.

Tuesday May 8th Move to Amend will be trying to pass a Resolution in Leelanau County to end corporate personhood.

Message for Move to Amend Northern Michigan

Tuesday, May 8 at 9 am at the Leelanau Government Center. The Move to Amend State and National Action Group will be making a presentation to the Leelanau County Board of Commissioners asking the Board to sign the Move to Amend Resolution to get the money out of politics. Move to Amend invites you to see democracy in action. Call a few friends and bring them along. To make as large an impact as possible we need to fill the room with supporters. The Government Center is located between Suttons Bay and Lake Leelanau on M204. Move to Amend is first on the agenda after public comment, and our presentation will last 15 minutes plus perhaps a few questions from the Board members. Move to Amend Website
